The best places we ate at were always suggested by locals. They know that it's not just the food that makes a place special. Teshima's in Kealakeukua is that kind of an establishment. Once run by Teshima herself for over 70 years, her family now was continued the business. Our server was one of her grandchildren.
And then the most delicious and beautiful shaved iced came from another recommendation: Scandinavian Shaved Ice.
