Yugi: Chicken Galbi

Imagine fried rice that taste like pizza. Yes, it exists.  Yes, it is that good.

Anne recently showed me a restaurant that specializes in Chicken Galbi, a dish of marinated meat and fried rice. It was way fabulous. Luckily enough, this restaurant can be found in several locations. We went to the store in Seomeyeon.

Store Front

First, you order what kind of rice and meat you want. This is the base of the dish. Then you can add any number of extra ingredients. The best part is that the meal is cooked right in front of you in a large wok-type pan at the center of your table.

Inside at dinner time.  It was PACKED!

We ordered their house recommended chicken galbi, then we added cheesy dduk and MORE cheese.

The finished dish: Oozing cheese melting within this pile of rice... waiting to get in my belly.

Directions to Yugi
There are many locations throughout Korea, but here are directions to one in Seomyeon.

From Seomyeon station, take Exit 7. Make a u-turn towards the cross street and take a left.  You should be walking towards Lotte Department Store. Just before you Lotte, turn left.  Walk about 100 meters and Yuga  (유가): Chicken Galbi will be on your left.
