Shandong and Hannibal Buress

Last week, Julius and I found out that we both recently moved to Oakland.  For the first time since college, we're living in the same city.  Let the adventures begin!

First stop, Shandong in Downtown.  Everything was fresh tasting and not at all overpowered with salt and grease like some other Chinese restaurants (although there is a time and place for that). The noodles and dumplings here are handmade everyday and you can certainly taste it!

You can watch them fold and cut the noodles from the front window.  So cool.

Julius accommodating for my non-vegetarianism.

Next we drove to see Hannibal Buress perform stand up at San Jose Improv.  He's an endearing genius and my new favorite comedian.  The venue was also super conformable with tables, booths, and waiters taking your order for food and drinks the entire time.

Sometimes I wish I could have a good stand up comic in my ear providing me commentary on the happenings of my entire day.  It's so healthy to laugh about the absurdity of life.
